Our first room was fine and big with plenty wardrobe and storage space but the air conditioning was not working properly. So after two nights we were moved. Our second room was much smaller but had a balcony. However, it didn't have a …
Pretty much the same experience as everyone else. The staff were great and the location is good, it was just unbelievably noisy. The soundproofing from the windows was terrible and we could hear everything from the room next to us. It was one of the only places with rooms left on short notice, though, so happy overall, but wouldn’t do it with more planning..
Overall, wretched hotel.
If you care about comfortability this hotel is not for you. I was naive and did not read the reviews prior to my stay but this place is filthy. There was what looked like blood stains on the walls and other vile things that grossed us out. The beds were as uncomfortable as can be. The area is nice and quiet but 30+ minute walk to the main tourist area. Another major annoyance was that you cannot charge any devices without keeping the light on. Old hotel overall. The staff was nice though.
I was disappointed with my recent stay, which did not meet the expectations for a four-star establishment. The room condition was subpar and more reminiscent of a two-star hotel. Additionally, my stay was disrupted by a group of noisy teenagers in the adjacent room, which made it difficult to sleep. I was also perplexed by the hotel staff requiring my friend to register her passport, even though she only accompanied me to drop off my backpack in the room and planned to leave within 5 minutes. They told me: "by law, anyone who goes upstairs has to have their passport registered". There were at least 5 kids slept in the room next to mine, were they all registered?
Very noisy and poor sound proofing. Our room is opposite a busy street, I can hear the traffic. I can also hear guests in other parts of the hotel talking. Like other reviews staff are friendly. It’s really a place for last minute travellers who have nowhere else to go or locals. The 4* rating is a bit odd, more of a 3* in my opinion, decor and facilities are dated, even for Rome.
Sep 11, 2023: I went out for the day and when I came back the room to my door had been wedged open for the whole world to see. Luckily our valuable belongings were locked in the suitcase, and I had my passport on my person, while it was probably an accident by the cleaner, I don’t expect this level of carelessness for a supposedly 5* hotel. It leaves a real feeling of discomfort for your guests, as they don’t feel like their room is properly being secured. The wide-open door also attracts insects and mosquitoes to the room, not a nice feeling at all.
Anytime you have an issue they don’t resolve it, either trying to pass you on to someone else. House cleaning accidentally took our travel mug to the kitchen. It looks nothing like any cup in the hotel. The items remained missing for several days to check out with no aim or effort made to recover it.
At checkout we were being over charged for breakfast. Only 3 people had breakfast we were charged for 4. After we told them this, they argued with us. After paying for 9 nights and city tax, I can assure you we are not trying to bump you guys for a 15€ breakfast. There is a reason we only had breakfast once, it’s not good. They also have a poor control system to account for who ate breakfast. She showed us a slip of paper claiming we had signed it. We didn’t sign anything at breakfast only indicated our room numbers verbally, we were clearly only three people sitting down in the restaurant. The restaurant manager needs to pay more attention and if your control system is to have the guests sign the manager shouldn’t be signing on our behalf. Better training needed all around.
A silver lining is that we had a bed to sleep and the hop off hop on recommendation was good which saved this a from a 1*, they are more eager with these recommendations due to commission.
had the best time at this hotel! clean rooms, great food, great hospitality and good location!
There was a bus stop right next to the hotel, so it was convenient to access sightseeing spots. It's slightly off the fixed price taxi from the airport (50€), but when I checked the price at the airport, they promised me that 55€ would be …
The service of the hotel front desk staff is very good, the breakfast is good, and it is not far from the scenic spot by car. However, the hotel's air conditioner is a bit noisy, and the cleanliness of the carpet is average. All in all, I am satisfied.
